Interpretation of China’s National Standard GB206000-2006 “Framing Structure,Channel Coding and Modulation for Digital Television Terrestrial Broadcasting System”

The China’s national DTTV standard will be implemented since August 1st this year. Its implementation is a very arduous,complex and pressing task. A lot of problems may be faced with in the process of its concrete implementation. The authors give a full and detailed interpretation of the standard in order that the technicians engaged in DTTB would have a more meticulous and deepgoing understanding of this standard. Since the standard is only a fundamental standard in the DTTB system,the leading group of DTTB in the SARFT has established 6 working groups (for technical policy,industrial policy,program policy,frequency planning,technical standards and technical tests) ,which are formulating more than 10 supporting standards such as standards for frequency planning,system implementation,performance test,equipment requirements and so on for DTTB system. With the progress of DTTB technical tests and frequency planning in different places and with the gradual launching of relevant supporting standards the detailed introduction to and interpretation of them will be published in our Journal.
