ANALYSIS OF THE GROUND-PENETRATING RADAR IMAGE OF THE DIFFERENT UNDERGROUND OBJECTS

The interpretation and processing of the ground-penetrating radar data deduce the distribution condition of the detected underground medium mainly from analyzing the effective reflected electromagnetic wave. Different underground objects have different features of reflection towards high-frequency electromagnetic wave and have different image features on the ground-penetrating radar detecting image. In this paper, it discusses the radar image features of the underground objects - layered medium, underground pipeline, CFG peg, detritus rammer peg, soil-cement peg, cave and so on. Then it summarizes their respective features in the hope of guiding us to identify the ground-penetrating radar image from different underground objects rapidly and correctly in the engineering exploration, ground testing and other exploring fields.
