The Application of Well Logging Technology to Coal Seam Roof Strata's Water Abundance Assessment

Well logging curve contains abundant geological information while it is mainly used for judging strata in coal field,which fails to take full advantage of it.Through the analysis of drilling logging data of a mine in Huainan and a comprehensive utilization of apparent resistivity logging curves and spontaneous potential logging curves,combined with the geological conditions of the study area,this paper evaluates the water abundance of11-2coal roof.The results show that logging technology in assessing water abundance of coal roof sandstone has the advantages of highly-targeted and high accuracy,etc.The abnormal response of well logging curve can preliminarily predict water-rich regions,which provides technical reference for the working surface's prospecting and drainage design.
