RESEARCH ON LANDSLIDE IN THE MIDDLE SECTOR OF THE NEWLY BUILT WUSHAN COUNTY ON THE THREE-GORGES RESERVOIR REGION

WT5,5”BZ]The population resettlement project is a key part of the Three Gorges Project on the Yangtze River. The geologial problem in the newly built Wushan County is a current focus of concern and contention in academic circles, and also a problem with population in the Three Gorges Reservoir region. The middle sector landslide, one of the landslides composed of T 2b 3 argillaceous limestone, occurred latest on the steep slope, has very complex structure, and low stability which is influenced by the later reworking and current resettlement construction. It is necessary to take strict treatment and control measures in resettlement construction process.
