The Reinforcement Effect of Bolt in Jointed Rock Slope

By the lagrangian difference method which is based on the shear strength reduction,a numerical simulation model is founded for one jointed rock slope.The analysis is done to the slip plane and the instability body which are critical to the stability of the slope.The function of rock bolt to the slip plane and the instability is studied.The calculation shows that before reinforcement,safety factor of slope is 0.67 which shows that the slope is in instability state,the slip planes are two sets of transfixion plane in slope.Wholly grouted bolts reinforcement of long and short staggered rock bolts is chosen as the reinforcement type for slope.After reinforcement the safety factor of slope increases to 1.29.So the rock bolts control the slippage,and improve the stability of slope.
