Quantitative Evaluation of Slope Stability Based on the Multi-Factor Interaction Related Matrix

Judging whether a slope is stable involves the interaction and inter-coupling of multi-factors,which is an extremely complicated geological problem,and it is also very difficult to quantitatively evaluate its stability with conventional methods.The method of multi-factor interaction related matrix is adopted in this paper.It takes into account the combined effect to the whole system from each influencing factor and their interaction in the system.Based on the above method,the function of each influencing factor to the slope stability can not only be quantitatively calculated,the whole slope stability can also be quantitatively evaluated.The calculated result of the slope stability of 102 landslide shows that this method is effective in solving such complicated problem.
