Application research of high frequency electromagnetic method in survey of long-deep tunnels

In geophysical exploration work for long-deep tunnel,the issue is mainly concentrated on bearing conditions of potential unfavorable geologic body near the area of tunnel line.High frequency electromagnetic methods are characterized by unshielding of high resistivity layers,portability,and large penetrating depth.Based on the characteristics of unfavorable geologic body,some key techniques of EH4 using in tunnel prospecting are investigated.The emphasis is the importance of parallel survey,the effect of the magnetic probe's orientation and horizontal,the source effect and its correct technique and the static correction.This paper is based on the surveying results obtained with EH4 in a tunnel of Guizhou-Guangzhou railway,the feasibility and validity of high frequency electromagnetic method to prospect long-deep tunnel is analyzed and summarized.
