Estimation of the Seismic Response of Lead-rubber Base-isolated Structure Against Near-fault Ground Motions

The equivalent strength ductility demand spectrum under near-fault ground motions is established,which is used together with the elastic response spectrum of the aseismic code to estimate the structural performance demands.Based on the improved method,the computation of the response of the lead-rubber based-isolated structure under 15 near-fault earthquake records are choosed as specific numerical example,as well as the results of the Chinese and American aseismic codes are compared and the provisions of the analysis of the isolated structures of our country's aseismic code are improved.
