NONLINEAR ANALYSIS ON PRESSURE FLUCTUATION PHENOMENA OF AIR-WATER TWO-PHASE FLOW

The nonlinear characteristics of pressure fluctuation for two-phase flow in vertical upward section of U-type tube were investigated by means of deterministic chaotic theory. The fractal dimension, correlation dimension and Kolmogorv entropy in different flow regimes were obtained and the influence of liquid velocity on the parameters were also analyzed. The results show that the chaotic features have close relationship with different flow regimes. The fractal dimensions are less than 1.5 in flow regimes beside annular flow with great gas velocity. The liquid superficial velocity has considerable affection on the chaotic features.
