NUMERICAL ANALYSIS ON THE CHARACTERISTIC OF TURBULENT HEAT TRANSFER WITH MULTI-LONGITUDINAL VORTEXES IN TUBE

The characteristic of turbulent heat transfer and flow resistance with multi-longitudinal vortexes in tube is numerically analyzed. The results show that the multi-longitudinal vortexes could enhance the turbulent heat transfer in tube markedly and the flow resistance increase is similar to heat transfer enhancement. The more the multi-longitudinal vortexes are, the better the enhancement in the range of calculation. The dimension of the multi-longitudinal vortexes should be equivalent to the thickness of the heat boundary layer. Meanwhile, the multi-longitudinal vortexes are not easy to attenuate in the axis direction, which gives convenience for the application of multi-longitudinal vortexes.
