IMPROVEMENT FOR LOCATING THE FLAME FRONT IN THE MOVING FLAME FRONT(MFF)MODEL

The moving flame front(MFF-I)model,considering the surface reduction of carbon particle, locates the flame front only by analyzing oxidation.Taking the influence of heterogeneous oxidation and reduction into account,this paper gives precise deduction to locate flame front,namely MFF-Ⅱmodel.Under general combustion condition,predicted results by the improved MFF-Ⅱmodel agree well with those by the original MFF-Ⅰ.However,the improved MFF-Ⅱmodel could be applied to the cases of lower oxygen concentration,such as reburning and gasification processes,which is beyond the capability of MFF-Ⅰ.
