A steady numerical simulation of the effect of nano-particles on nucleation sites in nucle- ate pool boiling heat transfer was conducted based on the experimental boiling curves.The bubble nucleation densities at a boiling copper surface for different superheat degrees were calculated.The results indicate that the effect of changing the number of nucleation site is a key factor which influences the boiling heat transfer enhancement for nano-particle suspension and this effect varies with particle concentration erratically.
