PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF SEMI-PARABOLIC TROUGH CONCENTRATING SPECTRAL BEAM SPLITTING PV SYSTEM

The beam filter coated with 13 layers and a three-dimensional optical model considering nonparallelism of solar rays are presented to evaluate the optical,thermal and electrical performances of the semi-parabolic trough concentrating spectral beam splitting PV system.The spectral distribution of the radiant intensity of the system and the spatial distribution of the flux density on the solar cell plane are investigated.The optical efficiency of the system at AM1.5 is 58.7%,and the optimal inclination angle of the cell is given to obtain uniform flux at different concentrator relative aperture. The results show that the spectral beam splitting technology on the concentrating PV system can reduce the cell temperature and increase concentration ratio together with photoelectric conversion efficiency.
