Effect of Blading Density Degree on Bidirectional Axial Flow Pump Performance

Blading density degree is one of the important parameters in axial pump design.For researching the effect of blading density degree on the performance of the pump,three models with different blading density degrees were designed by lifting design method and all of them can meet the design objectives.Then this article derived the relationship between geometric parameters and energy parameters of the pump.After that,numerical simulations were implemented for models to compare the internal flow characteristics and external characteristics.The simulation results showed that the flow distribution law of three models had no much difference and,with the increase of blading density degree,blade static pressure distribution became more reasonable and efficiency increased,while the optimal operating point offset to the small flow.However,there was a strong fluid impinging occurred at the edge of the blade inlet.
