Transient Experiment on the Permeability of Micro-nano Porous Materials

The experimental device which was used for the transient measurement in gas permeation process in micro-nano porous materials was developed,and a method for measuring permeability of micro-nano materials was presented.The formula for calculating permeability was derived based on Darcy's Law.A specific silica aerogel material with micro-nano pores was chosen as the research object,and the gas pressure curves of the cavity were obtained.The gas permeability of the micro-nano porous material was calculated and corrected by taking gas slippage effect into account,and the intrinsic permeability of this micro-nano porous material was further acquired with the error modification.The results show that the low permeability of the micro-nano porous material can be measured by this experimental device.The intrinsic permeability of the silica aerogel sample was about(4.1±0.1)× 10~(-16) m~2.The experimental results can provide basic physical property data for the theoretical analysis on heat and mass diffusion performance.
