The Difference of Climate Iffect to Foshan by two Types of El~Nino Events

Chen Zhifang(Foshan Weather Service,528000)
Based on the climate data from 1957 to 2000 in Foshan, the relationship between climate factors and two El-Nino events was discussed It is shown that difference of the influences on Foshan are significant between two El-Nino events During the year of first kind of El-Nino the precipitation and the number of torrential rain days are less than normal. However, they are onore them normal duming the other El-Nino event It is also shown that the first kind of El-Nino event results in the reduition TC occurrences, and the latter causes cooler summer and warmer winter
