Simulation design for optical property of optic fiber Bragg grating based on LabVIEW 6.0

Transfer matrix algorithm for optical property of calculation optic fiber grating is analyzed against the concrete applications. The advantages and disadvantages for MatLab and LabVIEW in engineering applications are summarized. A new method for carrying out optical property analysis of optic fiber Bragg grating and grating aid design by means of calling MatLab program through LabVIEW is proposed. The satisfactory results have been achieved when the method is applied to design of parameters of optic fiber grating.
