Double-Axis Tracking Control Techniques Based on Four-Quadrant Detector

A demonstration system with DSP as controller used for testing double-axis tracking control techniques is designed by using four-quadrant detector as position sensor. Through error data sampling, calculating and comparing, error correction implemented by feedback, acquisition and tracking of mobile targets are carried out by a double-axis mechanism consisting of a fast scanning system and a large area scanning system. The testing results show that the system can quickly capture and stably track the cooperative targets. Its adjustment is convenient and reliable, thus lays a basis for producing this kind of prototype.
