A neighborhood adaptive fuzzy enhancement algorithm based on human visual properties

In view of the visual property that human eye has more powerful resolution when gray scale is moderate , gradient image is obtained by using Prewitt algorithm, and adaptive enhancement for gradient image of the fuzzy neighborhood is carried out by introduction of neighborhood average component of pixel into the definition subordinate to function. Experiments demonstrate that the algorithm has overcome the fault of the traditional fuzzy enhancement algorithm that enhances noise point. During enhancing details of image, simultaneously it can effectively inhibit image noise.
