A Near-Infrared Diffuse Reflection Type Measuring System for Sugar Content of Fruit Drops

A measuring system for sugar content of fruit drops is developed based on near-infrared spectral techniques. The system mainly consists of FT-IR spectrum analyzer, optic fiber diffuse reflection accessories and data sampling card. Prediction tests for sugar contents of 56 apples are carried out by the system. The testing results are: standard correcting error=0.317 and standard prediction error=0.487. The measuring system can be directly applied to fast quantitative analysis for sugar content of fruit drops and the prediction accuracy can be up to 95%.
