Preparation of RDX/Fe_2O_3-Al_2O_3 Nano-composite Energetic Material by Sel-Gel

In order to avoid the shortcomings of traditional composite energetic materials,slow energy release speed,the sol-gel method and supercritical drying method were used to prepare the tri-component nano-composite energetic material RDX/Fe2O3-Al2O3. RDX mass fraction of it is 90 %. It turned out that when VDMF∶Vacetidin=2∶1,aging time was 24 h,supercritical drying conditions: pressure 15 MPa,45 ℃,the intake rate 16 L/h,holding pressure 30min,ventilation rate 2 L/h,ventilation time 40min,relief rate 3 bar/min,RDX/Fe2O3-Al2O3 was uniformly composited. Its particle size is about 50 nm. Composite material's mechanical sensitivity was significantly reduced than raw RDX and mechanical mixing compound. Security has been greatly improved.
