MORPHOLOGICAL STUDY OF FETAL MEDIAL GENICULATE BODY TRANSPLANTED INTO AUDITORY CORTEX AREA OF ADULT RATS

Analage of E15 -16 fetai rat medial geniculate body was transplanted into fabricated hole in auditory cortex of adult Wistar rat. Graft tissue was obtained on the 60th day. Slides were stained with Nissl, Weil. Marsland - Glees methods. Grafts of sixtieth day were made into Ultrathin slides and observed with elec-tron microscope as well. Differentiation and growth of transplantated neurons were well and only few neu-rons were growing. Grafts had particular cytoarchitectural features. Under the observation of electron mi-croscope, among cellular with highly neurophil that contain dendrites and axons,There are Gray type I and type II synapses with round clear vescicle,elliptical dear vesicle and large granulated vesicle at presynaptic terminal. The experimental results indicated neuronic morphology and structure of grafts were as same as normal medial geniculate body's on the whole,but neuronic development of grafts had certain delay. It had built local circuit and blood - brain barrier in the graft.
