An Optical Affine Transformation Based on Micro Electro-mechanical System Optical Cross-connect

A two-dimensional optical affine transformation method is discussed.Weaknesses of experimental adjustment difficulties,low accuracy,inflexibility and instability are met for optical affine transformation implemented by dove prisms,mirrors,and a zoom lens.A method for optical affine transformation based on optical fiber bundle and MEMS(Micro electro mechanical systems)optical cross-connect is proposed.Optical affine transformation was realized by making use of the switch property of MEMS and combining it with optical fiber bundle,which overcome those shortcomings effectively.Superiority of this method has been effectively proved by the comparison of optical experiment results and simulation results.
