Study on Detection of Infrared Thermal Imaging of Bonding Between Covering and Web of Wind Turbine Blade

Active continuous excitation infrared thermal imaging technology was adopted to test several bonding specimen with different thickness and combines with subsequent data reconstruction algorithm.At the time when the thermal contrast between plastic zone and non-plastic zone of covering and web is sufficiently improved,the bonding detection between covering and web is also accomplished.The possibility that infrared thermal imaging technology cooperating with high power continuous thermal excitation applied to the field of wind turbine blade nondestructive testing is verified and thus a new solution for deep located defect detection in wind turbine blade is provided.
