Basic Liner Structure and Intersection’s Calculation of URT Network Structure

Informative abstract The principle for a typical URT networkplanning can be defined as"the shortest path,the least transfer".Based onthe characters of urban rail transit network (URTN) bothat home and abroad,the author analyzes the structures andfunctionsof different lines .According to the yearly accumulated experiences ,this paper also makes a classificationforthe basic formof URTNandsummarizes a formula for the calculation of its intersection.In linewiththe applicability and disciplinary of a typical URTnetwork,twoissues about the circle lines shall be futher discussed:one isthe linestructure andthe otheristhe diameter andlength.The author arguesthat the suitable diameteris about 10 kmandshould not belessthan6 kmif it’s limited bythe terrain conditions ,thus at least 2 tothreelines at the interval of circles shall be preserved.This circle can beroundish or square and the entire length shall be 30 ~40 km.Thispaper gives a certain inspiration and guidance to the basic designconcepts and methods of URTnetwork.
