Enterprise Flat Organizational Structure

LIU Ming-zhou, PENG Jian-gang (School of Machinery and Automobile Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230009, China)  
Based on the analysis of traditional multilayer structure of management, this paper generalizes essential characteristics and advantages of flat structures, discusses the application of some advanced management and manufacturing methods such as lean production, JIT and agile manufacturing to flat organizational structures. Using integrated definition method (IDEF) . the paper constructs successfully an information integration model framework that is based on purchasing, manufacturing, inventory and distribution. A kind of useful structure of management and manufacturing is available for enterprises' continuable development.
