Study on allelopathy activity of the methanol extract from Clausena lansium

The results showed that the methanol extract from Clausena lansium was very effective against the growth of the Brassica campestris under light and non-light.At the concentration of 4 mg/mL,the inhibition to root,shoot and wet weigh were 99.17%,99.20%,72.42% respectively after lighting 3 h,which was higher than the non-light97.18%,82.07%,69.35%.Results of toxicology showed that the IC_(50) were 0.44 mg/mL under light and 0.48 mg/mL under non-light respectively;the IC_(50) to shoot was 0.99 mg/mL under light and 1.44 mg/mL under non-light;the IC_(50) to wet weigh was 1.48 mg/mL under light and 1.51 mg/mL under non-light;and the correlation coefficient was all above 0.90.Preliminaryly seperated the extract and the results indicated that the extract of ethyl acetate was the best.
