Evaluation for Work Values of Beginning Teachers with Method of Paired Comparison

For evaluating teacher work values,the method of paired comparison was administrated to 217 beginning teachers from primary schools and middle schools.The results indicated that the beginning teachers highly valued interest,stability and help others while they chose the job.Gender difference was found while comprising the first three work values.Male teachers highly valued interest,help others and multiformity,but female teachers′ first three choice were interest,stability and help others.Work preference was found while comprising the first three work values,teachers who wanted to be a teacher,highly valued interest,stability and help others,but teachers who didn′t want to be a teacher highly valued interest,relaxation and high salary.
