Research on the Key Construction Techniques of the Cut-and-cover with Cofferdam Method of the Subsea Tunnel Laying on Deep Soft Soil

This passage presents the research on the key construction techniques of the cut-and-cover with cofferdam method of the subsea tunnel laying on deep soft soil,taken the subsea tunnel project of the new campus of University of Macau for example. Based on the characteristics of subsea tunnel laying on deep soft soil such as great difficulty of cofferdam,soft soil foundation,large thickness of backfill soil,great difficulty of controlling the structural deformation and so on,it is proposed to adopt the technique combining the special cofferdam under the condition of deep soft soil and dynamic deep water,the building envelope consist of bored pile and steel pipe pile and inner support,the technique of sparse pile foundation and advanced watering of backfill soil,and the technique of backfilling and covering adopt to the deepening of main channel in the future,in order to ensure the construction quality of the subsea tunnel. It is evident that the proposed technique is safe,reliable and economic and can be a reference for similar construction of subsea tunnel projects.
