Objective To study the changes of cellular immune function in rats with obstructive jandice and the effect of Astragalus on cellular immune function is rats with obstructive jaundice. Methods The rat model was established with common bile duct ligation(CBDL).Astragalus(250mg/kg/d) was injected into cava abdominis for two weeks. Then the contents of T cell phenotype in blood and serum intereukin-2(IL-2) were detected. The results were compared with contrast group. Results Contents of T cell phonetype in blood decreased and the expression of serum IL-2 was supuressed after Later three weeks.common bile duct of rat was ligated.Reduction of CD4 in blood was more obvious.Astragalus was able to enhance the expression of T cell phenotype and IL-2 in blood. Conclusion Reduction of T cells played an important role in umpairment of cellular immune function in rat with obstructive jaundice.Astragalus was able to ameliorate cellular immune function of rat with obstructive jaundice and the result of increased expression of rat with obstructive jaundice and the result of increased expression of serum IL-2.
