Objective 8 cases of maxillofacial defect were reconstructed by temporalis myofascial flap(TMF). Method According to size and locus of defect, a full or part of TMF was designed to repair the defect. 5 cases were reconstructed following maxillectomy, 2 cases were repaired anterior margin of mandibular ramus and the side wall of pharyngus, 1 case was reconstructed maxillary and orbital defect. Result All of the TMFs were survived and filled in the defect. Patients were satisfied at the appearance and the function of the reconstruction. Conclusion TMF is an ideal for reconstructing the maxillofacial defect.
