3D Finite Element Research on Rapid Movement of Whole Anterior Teeth Assisted by Alveolar Surgery with Spiral Compressing Device

Objective Determine and discuss Spiral compressing device’s effects on Misses stress as well as displacement for anterior section of maxillar.Methods A 3D finite element model was established to study the previous teeth could be distracted rapidly by alveolar surgery with Spiral compressing device.Different stress were applied to anterior section of the maxillar Spiral compressing device under two displacements:0.50 mm and 0.75 mm,by Two different displacements,0.50 mm and 0.75 mm.Four areas were selected:buccal,lingual,mesial and distal,for upper central incisor,incisor and cuspid.Stress distribution and displacements were analyzed.Results Under both conditions,labial neck of incisor showed the largest displacement and the lingual side showed the maximum stress distribution,mesial neckof cuspid showed the largest displacement and maximum stress.Buccal side showed the smallest displacement as well stress.Same trends were observed for stress relationship under both conditions.Conclusion Spiral compressing device rapid movement of whole anterior teeth assisted under both conditions.Central incisor,incisor and cuspid has shown noticeable retraction trend.Central incisor and cuspid has rotational trend.
