Quantitative analysis of flavonoids in freeze-dried Houttuynia cordata from different habitats by HPLC-MS

Objective To compare the contents of flavonoids in freeze-dried Houttuynia cordata from different habitats.Methods Samples were analyzed by HPLC-MS using an Alltima C18 column.The mobile phase consisted of 0.2% acetic acid in water(A) and acetonitrile(B) using a gradient elution program of 20%(B) in 0～20 min,20%～20.5%(B) in 20～40 min,20.5%～35%(B) in 40～50 min.The flow rate was 0.6 mL/min.Results The contents of five flavonoids in HongKong were higher than those in Sichuan and Guangdong Province.The contents of rutin,hyperoside and quercitroside in Sichuan Province were higher than those in Guangdong Province,while the contents of quercetin 3-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside and quercetin 3-O-Lrhamnopyranosyl-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside in Guangdong Province were higher than those in Sichuan Province.Conclusion There are great differences in the contents of flavonoids from different habitats.
