The Modulation Instability Fundamental Gain Spectrum by Cross phase Modulation

WT5”BZ]:Taken into account the fiber loss,the fundamental gain spectrum of modulation instability (MI) induced cross phase modulation (XPM) is presented from the nonlinear Schrodinger equation.The results show that the XPM induced MI not only in the anomalous dispersion regime but also in the normal dispersion regime;the gain spectrum is come down and gain range is decreased by the fiber loss.
