Plastic Optical Fiber for Communication

YU Rong jin(College of Information Science and Engineering,Yanshan University,Qinhuangdao 066004,China)  
On the basis of review of recent status of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and perfluorinated (PF) polymer core plastic optical fiber (POF),the transmission systems of POF as well as related components and applications are evaluated in this paper.
