Development of an all-weather laser imaging system

An all-weather laser imaging system with range gated synchronization control technology is developed aiming at shorter distance and low resolution of general imaging equipment in adverse weather conditions.The working principle and system structure are introduced.The system visual space depth,laboratory and outfield imaging experiments have been done.The results show that the experimental and theoretical values of visual space depth increase with laser pulse width and the experimental values are slightly larger than theoretical ones due to the broadening of laser pulse width and image intensifier gate width.The minimum resolutions are about 5cm and 10cm when observing the target far from 1 200m and 4 700mrespectively in dark night.The target is fuzzy and the image resolution is about 20-30cm when observing the target far from 1 900min misty condition.
