The Calculation and Discussion of the Discharge Coefficient for Stepless,Broad-crest Weirs

The empirical formula of the discharge coefficient for broad-crest ridge-free weirs is educed in the paper by analysing quite a few mathematical models with the help of the binary nonlinear regression analysis method in collaboration with practically measured data.The formula overcomes much of the inconvenience brought about by the multi-step linear interpolation method used in the chart method.It is better suitable for hydraulic calculations.
