Discussion on the disposal of used textiles (Part 1)

The current four conventional treatments for used textiles: recycling, incineration, landfill and composting were described. By comparing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of each method, the following conclusions can be drawn: recycling is environmentally friendly and can save natural resources. It values the advocation except the complexity and high cost; incineration and landfill are now the most popular approach, but they will cause environmental pollution; Composting is environmentally friendly and can fertile soil, but it can only deal with biodegradable textiles. So as environmentally friendly and resource-saving approach, recycling and composting should be vigorously advocated and promoted.
