PROPERTIES OF MEMBRANE FROM STEAM-EXPLODED STRAW

The properties of the solution got by dissolving steam-exploded straw in both DMAc/LiCl system and aq. NaOH system and the films prepared were studied. The results show that there are some differences in the dissolving mechanism, the viscosity of solution and crystal form, the surface and cross section morphological structure and mechanical properties of films. The optimal condition of the steam-explosion for the straw, film from which has the maximum tensile strength (112 MPa) and elongation at break ((6.1%)), is (2.0) MPa, 20 s.
