Corona Resistance Property of Polyester Film Modified with Spherical Silicon Dioxide Nanoparticles

Spherical SiO2 particles with different size were prepared by micro-emulsion method and characterized by SEM and XRD.The results show that the particle size is uniformity and the crystalline form of SiO2 is amorphous or micro-crystal.Spherical SiO2 powder was in-situ added to polyethylene glycol terephthalate(PET)by ultrasonic dispersion method.And the organic-inorganic hybrid polyester film was prepared.The corona resistance of polyester-film was tested,and the effect of particle size,concentration of silicon dioxide nanoparticles and thickness of PET film on corona resistance was discussed.The results indicate that the introduction of nano-silicon dioxide is contributed to form organic-inorganic network structure.The reversed electric field is formed inside PET film and the corona aging is postponed,which significantly improves the corona resistance of polyester film.The partial discharge voltage increases 20% compared to unmodified PET film with the same thickness(250μm).The high partial discharge voltage of Tedler-PET-Tedler(TPT)structure backsheet with 250μm thickness PET film can meet the requirements of new type photovoltaic module in air.
