EFFECT OF SOLID PHASE GRAFT POLYMERIZATION ON CRYSTAL STRUCTURE AND THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF POLYPROPYLENE

The effect of solid phase graft copolymerization on crystal structure and thermal behaviour of polypropylene was studied by WAXD and DSC method. The results show that the crystallite sizes of polypropylene increase due to the solid phase graft copolymerization of maleic anhydride,but the crystallographic interplanar spacing invaries,moreover,the melting point of modified polypropylene depresses,and its crystallity slightly increases.
