Development of Poly(phthalazinone ether)s Functional Membranes

More and more attention has been paid to the research of membrane materials,with the development of membrane separation,proton exchange membrane fuel cell,and flow battery for energy storage.Poly(phthalazinone ether)s are a kind of membrane materials with excellent performance.Due to the polymer main chains containing aromatic heterocyclic twisted non-coplanar structure,poly(phthalazinone ether)s show good chemical stability,good themal stability,and can be soluble in common membranes casting solvents such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and N,N-dimethylacetamide.Poly(phthalazinone ether)s show promising applications for thermally stable separation membranes and ion exchange membranes.In this paper,the development of poly(phthalazinone ether)s membrane materials and their applications for gas separation membranes,liquid separation membranes,and ion exchange membranes for energy field were reviewed.
