The Changing Pattern of Cotton Crop Canopy Tmperature and its Application in Detecing Crop Water Stress

Cai Huanjie Kang Shaozhong (The College of Water Conservancy and Architecture Engineering, Northwestern Agricultral University,Yangling Shaanxi,712100)  
Canopy temperature is a good indicator of crop water status. Based on studying the effect of environmental factors on caopy temperature,the changing pattern of canopy temperature was analysised in different soil water status. It was shown that the good relationship exists between canopy temperature and cell sap concentration,the established relation among canopy minus air temperature diffrential,meteorological factor and soil water content can be used to detect crop water stress.
