SOME ENLIGHTENMENTS FROM A SANDSTORM OCCURRED IN NORTHWEST CHINA

Sandstorm occurs sometimes in Northwest China and even in North China. The necessary conditions of sandstorm occurrence are the strong wind and an environment of desert and loose sandy soil. Which, however, can not be used for explaining the stronger wind without sandstorm. Therefore, it is considered that the violent convection in the lower layer of the troposphere is one of the important conditions for sandstorm occurrence. According to the frequency tendency of occurrences of strong wind and sandstorm, the ecological environment in Northwest China is deteriorating.
