Comparison of photosynthesis characteristic of spring wheat and common rye under drought stress

By measuring the chlorophyll fluorescence dynamic parameters the photosynthesis characteristic of spring wheat and common rye under drought stress was studied. The results showed that along with the increase of drought stress, the vigor of PSⅡ was decreased, but the range of variable of common rye was smaller than spring wheat; The initial fluorescence (F0) and the nonchemical damping (qN) were increased under drought stress, and the parameters of common rye varied less than those of spring wheat. It can be concluded that common rye has a better adaptability under drought stress.\;
