A Comparative Study on the Research Field of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and the Setting of Master Courses——A Comparison with English and Japanese Language Teaching

Starting with the research field of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,this paper discusses the current situations of the cultivation direction of masters in China's higher education and the setting of decisive courses in the process of cultivation.Compared with the TESOL course structure in the US and Japanese language course structure,Teaching Chinese as a Second Language have problems such as vague boundaries in the course structures of academic masters and professional masters,and the convergency in cultivation of both types of masters.The cultivation of academic masters should be integrated with that of doctoral candidates so as to qualify the students with broad academic perspectives and solid research foundation;the practicability of professional masters should be emphasized,more pointed courses will be needed and the cultivation should be classified more strictly.
