Effect on the Physiological and Biochemical Changes of the Korle Pears by Post Harvest Treatment with r-Ray, β-Ray and Air-ionization

The Korle Pears is one of climateric fruits. A rate of ethylene production and its high peak appeared and respiration elimateric period appeared are important physiological indexes in research fruits storage. This treatise takes these as the stress to approach a mechanism of the Korle pears storage. In three years experiments, the result has been confirmed that fruits production of endogenous ethylene can be controled by treatment fruits with r-ray and β-ray of 30 thousand to 110 thousand Rad dose and air-ionization of 10 ion per mililitre Inhibition of r-ray on ethylene production is obvious in earler stage of storage, inhibition of β-ray is obvious in the later stage of storage, physiological effect of air-ionization is distinct, on the one hand it can control biological production of endogenous ethylene, on the other hand it dose not hurt fruits under higher dose. They all can get inhibition on the rate of respiration, but their effect are slight different, biological effect of r-ray is slowly, it emerged the inhibition role only on later stage of storage.
