Studies on the Salt Hardiness in Seeds and Seedling of Leymus Hochst

QI Bing-jie 1 YI jin 1 GU An-lin 2 YUAN Jin-zhu 1 (1.Inner Mongolia Agriculture University, Hohhot 010019,China 2.Grassland Research Institute Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences,Hohhot,010010,China)  
The results of the tests showed an obvious difference in salt hardiness of 8 species of leymus hochst .The best one was L.karlinnii, (the half of lethal salt concentration was 2.8 % and the lethal salt concentration was 5.6 %). The second one was L.cinereus, the middle one was L.chinencsis, L.anguslus and L.anguslus, and others were lower. Legmus hochst have higher salt hardiness than other grasses . It can be idea materials to breed the salt tolerance of grasses.
