The Changes of Community Structure and Above Ground Biomass in Stipa purpurea Steppe of Enclosure

In order to analyze the effects of enclosure on vegetation characteristics in degenerated grassland,characteristics of Stipa purpurea steppe grassland communities which have enclosed for 22 years in Xinjiang Bayanbulak alpine grassland were investigated.It turned out that the species inside the enclosure increased by 23.77%,fine perennial grasses increased on the contrary the weeds decreased obviously;the community diversity and evenness index decreased,above-ground biomass was increased,and gramineal forage added by 66.46% contrasted with outside enclosure.So it was benefit for alpine grassland restoration and the development of stockbreeding by setting up enclosure in the view of protecting and using the grassland resource.
