Sap flow of Picea schrenkiana and its responses to metrological factors in the middle area of Tianshan Mountain,China

Sap flow density of picea schrenkiana was continuously measured with thermal dissipation probe.In the meantime,several metrological factors were monitored at a nearby automatic weather station.The results showed that the diurnal variation of stem sap flux density was a cyclical with the solar radiation.It showed a single peak type in the clear-cloudy or overcast weather day,and several-peak type in the rainy day.Comparing with in the clear-cloudy or overcast weather day,the sap flow density was lower and showed a smaller change range.The sap flow changed slightly and was exist in night,whether it was in clear-cloudy day or rainy day.It indicated that the metrological factors played important roles in affecting sap flow density of picea schrenkiana.The multi-linear regression analysis showed that sap flow density was significantly positive related with temperature or photosynthetic active radiation,and was significant negative correlation with air relative humidity(P0.05).
